  1. Memorial Park - Memorial Park located at 6005 Underwood Ave, Omaha, NE 68132. This park is known for amenities including its beautiful rose garden, rolling green lawns and historical monuments. Another perk of the park is its location to UNO’s campus and Dodge Street. During the year there are also numerous events held at the park like concerts, and the annual lighting of the WWII colonnade, Veterans Shine On event.


  1. Hanscom Park – Hanscom Park is located at 3201 Woolworth Ave, Omaha, Ne 68105. This park is the oldest park in the City of Omaha. Though despite its history, Hanscom received a brand new playground in 2017. Other features of the park include a beautiful greenhouse, a dog park, a tennis facility and pool. Another fun attribute of the park is that it is across the street from President Ford’s birth site.


  1. Fontenelle Park - Fontenelle Park is a 108-acre public park located at 4575 Ames Avenue, at an intersection of Fontenelle Boulevard in North Omaha, Nebraska. Fontenelle Park has a popular lagoon, a playground, and long, meandering paths function as terrific ways to exercise. Two basketball courts, four tennis courts, and two football fields join a nine-hole golf course to host sports throughout the park. As part of the CSO Program, the park’s lagoon has been expanded and deepened and there have been vegetation changes to the park’s forests and lawns.


  1. Benson Park - Benson Park is located at 7028 Military Avenue in the Benson neighborhood of Omaha, Nebraska. The 217-acre park includes a playground, a lake and pavilion, as well as a scenic picnic area. One of the top features of Benson Park is their one of a kind sprayground, that kids and family’s alike love during the summer.


  1. Levi Carter Park - Levi Carter Park is located at 3100 Abbott Drive in East Omaha, Nebraska. It was named after one of Omaha's original industrialists, Levi Carter, who ran a white lead smelter in the area. Carter Lake provides opportunities for water-skiing, fishing, and boating. The park has baseball fields, football fields, and basketball courts, as well as paths, picnic areas, shelters, restrooms, a pavilion and open space. Levi Carter also has a playground and splash pad!


  1. Hitchcock Park - Hitchcock Park is located at 5015 S 45th St, Omaha, NE 68117. This park features amenities like the Motto McLean Ice Arena, walking paths, a playground, picnic shelter, lagoon, and an outdoor 50-meter pool.


  1. Elmwood Park – Elmwood Park is located at 6700 Elmwood Park Road, Omaha, NE 68106. This park is a fun spot for all types of activities. This historic park has a city pool, a golf course, picnic areas, sports areas, and a playground, basically most anything a person could be looking for in a local park. One of its best features is the beautiful scenic walking trails along with its ideal location right next to the UNO campus.


  1. Miller Park – Miller Park is located at 2707 Redick Ave, Omaha, NE 68112. This is a fantastic park with fun features such as a pool, playground and 9-hole golf course. Not to mention additions such as a scenic walking path coming this spring, a splashpad, and the Kerrie Orozco baseball field.

  2. Glenn Cunningham – Glenn Cunningham Lake is located at 8305 Rainwood Rd, Omaha, NE 68122. This area has features that are unique to Omaha parks. Such as a horse riding trails, a beautiful lake where park goers can enjoy boating and fishing. There are also walking trails around the lake’s leafy acres as well as a popular campground (campground is closed for 2020).


  1. Flanagan Park – Flanagan Park is located near 168th and Fort Streets. This is Omaha’s newest park and lake and features a 220-acre lake and 475 acres of parkland, as well as cycling and walking trails and fishing. This lake also features the popular “Take A Seat” benches which were moved from the Gene Leahy Mall to areas around the Flanagan Lake trail.


  1. Standing Bear Park - Standing Bear Lake is located at 6404 N 132nd St, Omaha, NE 68164. The park is named for the Ponca leader Chief Standing Bear. The day-use only facility offers a brand very unique playground, fishing, no-wake boating, 3.3 miles of hiking and bicycling trails, a field for radio-controlled model airplanes, picnic area and picnic shelters.


  1. Pacific Preserve - Pacific Preserve is Omaha Park’s “hidden gem” at 162nd and Pacific Street. This park provides a haven for pollinators, other wildlife as well as offers beautiful walking trails where people can enjoy a nature haven, tucked away from the chaos of the suburban area.


  1. Zorinsky Park – Zorinsky Lake Park is located at 156th and F St. Omaha, NE 68135. Zorinsky Lake has more than 255 acres offering two modern playgrounds, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, a football field, hiking and bicycling trails, and a universally accessible fishing dock. Zorinsky Lake Park is home to one of the few native tall grass prairies remaining in eastern Nebraska - Bauermeister Prairie. Zorinsky is also home to one of Omaha’s most popular swimming pools!


  1. Seymour Smith - Seymour Smith Park is an urban park located at 68th and Harrison Streets. The park has an all play playground which is accessible to kids with disabilities. It also has recreational athletic facilities including a baseball field, football pitches, disc golf, tennis courts, and a recreational skate park. The baseball field hosts American Legion Baseball and the UNO Mavericks. It also features a soap box derby track, a trap and skeet shooting range and a skate park. It has all you could possibly want in a park!


  1. Spring Lake Park – Spring Lake Park is located at 4020 Hoctor Blvd. Omaha, NE 68107. This park has amenities such as a lagoon and a 9-hole golf course. Through the CSO Program, grants from Nebraska Environmental Trust and collaboration with Omaha’s Parks Department the lake, wetlands and a broad range of green elements transformed the area. The project was completed in the spring of 2017 and now the wildlife habitat is diverse and plentiful and the lake is stocked with fish.


  1. Dewey Park – Dewey Park is located at 550 Turner Blvd in the heart of Midtown. This park is known for its ideal location and features such as outdoor racquetball courts. Dewey Park will be added a brand new, state of the art, dog park in 2019.


  1. Hummel Park – Don’t let the legends fool you, Hummel Park is one of the best parks in Omaha! Hummel is located at 3033 Hummel Road and offers both amazing views and activities for the whole family. Features include disc golf, trails, playgrounds and the most popular day camp.


  1. Tranquility Park - Tranquility Park is located at 12222 W Maple Rd. This is a large (340 acre) park in West Omaha with great facilities. It features an incredible soccer complex with 17 soccer fields! The park also has recreational features like 8 baseball fields and 24 tennis courts. Other services include shelters, restrooms, a playground and open spaces. The Tranquility Park Mountain Bike Trail, the first authorized off-road BMX biking trail in an Omaha Park, is a 6 mile course available to mountain bikers.


  1. Millers Landing - Located on the Missouri River, the park is home to Lewis & Clark interpretive exhibits, riverfront walking trails and a picnic shelter overlooking the park lake. The park is available for private functions and public events and is popular for weddings.


  1. Youngman Park – Youngman Park is located at 192nd and W Dodge Rd, Omaha, NE 68116. This park features awesome amenities such as No-wake boating, fishing, playground, picnic area and a beautiful open space.
